The lovely bride...

and her wedding party!

Who doesn't love a good party!? Especially one that is preparing for a celebrating a wedding! As Kev so nicely put it, he and I rode Vance's coat tails, and got an invite for ourselves to the rehearsal. Vance, Megan, and all of our boy cousins are in the wedding, so we got to hang with them all last night. It was tons of fun.
Mason (my cousin), and his lovely bride are getting married in the same church where Kev and I said 'I do' more than 8 years ago! They are having In N Out cater on Saturday, as well as a bunch more food, and to make it even better, I have secured a sitter for the night! (We will of course be letting the kiddos get their groove on until bedtime and then running them down to my folk's house, so we can continue to party the night away!) I can hardly wait!

Disneyland

Yesterday evening we met my sister-in-law, Tamara, and her crew at Disneyland for a couple of hours. On a whim before we left, Vance put on his goggles and informed us that he wanted to wear them. Of course my little heart sang with joy because it meant he hasn't completely grown out of that stage. (I guess I have grown a little too attached to those goggles myself.) While waiting for Tam, we decided to take a ride on the train, so I snapped a couple of pictures. I especially like the first one of just Vance...

First Day of Preschool!

Two new friends

Playing with Play-Doh

My unopened package of tissues!
The much anticipated first day of preschool has come and gone without a single tear shed! We had really talked it up, and so when the day came, Vance was so excited. We got there a little early, and met a classmate named William waiting in the courtyard for chapel to start. Immediately he and Vance hit it off, and sat together for chapel, where we met another classmate named Paige. (Vance and Paige happen to share the exact same birthday!) After chapel, we went to Vance's class where his teacher, Mrs. Francis had set out Play-Doh for the kids to play with. Vance went right in, sat down, and asked his new friend, Paige to sit next to him. It was very cute. And when I told him I was leaving he could have cared less! I was so proud of how well he did, and am so glad that he looks forward to going again.

Apple Core, Baltimore....

We had a super busy week this week, with Disneyland (twice), Hulabaloos with friends, and a playdate/portrait session at the Spectrum; and yet I choose to post pics of them eating apples! I just liked the way they came out. My stomach also clenches when I think that this might be my last entry with Vance in his goggles. He only wore them one day this week, and told me today that he was done "being Bob". =..(

Vance

So, today we met Vance's preschool teacher - Mrs. Francis. She is a very nice lady, and I think Vance will love preschool.
When I mentioned the goggles to her, she said that I should probably discourage him from wearing them to school. Is it silly to say that it broke my heart a little? The very things he loves and that give him so much character I'm supposed to discourage?? No, I don't think I will. And though he seems to be outgrowing them naturally and on his own, I will cherish each day left that he chooses to wear them. My little goggle boy...
