Apple (and Raspberry) Picking at Oak Glen

At long last, an update! We had a bunch of fun up at Oak Glen today. Kev had packed a picnic lunch and we went raspberry and apple picking. The kids wore their "apple" shirts to get in the spirit, and we ended the day with a slice of apple pie a la mode and a raspberry shake!

First Beach Day of 2010

Brooke and I left around noon for what promised to be a nice (if mild) beach day. We arrived in Newport at about 12:30, and set up near the water. Within 20 minutes, I had stepped on a bee which stung my toe, and the tide had come in and soaked our stuff. Still trying to keep up beat we stayed for a while longer and then refilled the meter and went to get ice creams. We obviously enjoyed the sun a little too long, as both Brooke and I got sunburned, AND got a $53 parking ticket!!!!! Geesh!
