Vance looking for Maverick and Goose On Saturday, the 6th, we loaded up the kids and headed east on an entirely too long plane ride to Washington DC. We stayed in DC through Tuesday morning checking out all the sights I hadn't seen since 8th grade! Despite being humid and HOT, we still had a good time strolling around to all the sights on Sunday and Monday. I got a couple of cute shots of the kids by the reflecting pool. One of our favorite places was the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum near Dulles Airport. Vance absolutely loved seeing the Space Shuttle Enterprise.
Tuesday morning we hit the road in our rental car and headed south to visit friends in Virginia...
Looks like a blast...you are almost tempting me to go visit the in-laws and....fly !
ReplyDeleteDon't you just love the DC area! Looks like you had a wonderful time in spite of the heat and humidity. Looking at the photos reminds me of all the times our family has been to DC. S & L's home is only minutes from the Air & Space Museum near Dulles! Their townhouse is in Sterling, VA.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the picture of the kids reflecting by the pool!! I am so jealous...I have never been to DC and I totally want to go!! Plus...I am really jealous over the picture with Obama!!
